Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Garden, FL is hiring a Registered Nurse for Full-time day shift (36 hours/week) with a pay range of $31.53-$52.24 per hour. Eligible clinicians can earn up to 20% salary increases through our Clinical Ladder Program based on experience and advancement criteria.

Requires ADN or BSN, Florida RN license, BLS/ACLS, and 1+ year acute care experience preferred. Benefits from Day One include medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 403(b), parental leave, and

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • Florida RN license; BLS and ACLS required.
  • 1+ acute care hospital experience preferred.
  • Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental and social factors.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans and revise as needed.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately following physician orders.
  • Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and outcomes.

Job Description
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Ability to work as a Team player within a unit
  • Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills

  • Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes
Education
