Job summary

The Staff Pad is partnering with a leading healthcare system in Wausau, WI to recruit Registered Nurses for a newly expanded Cardiac Tower and PCU, offering high-acuity, advanced cardiac care.

This role focuses on complex cardiothoracic and post-surgical patients, with hands-on learning, supportive teamwork, and room to grow in a modern cardiac care environment.

Open to experienced RNs and new graduates, with multiple shift options and a pathway to Charge RN and specialty leadership.

Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact-state eligibility.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS preferred; training may be available if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to complex cardiothoracic and post-surgical patients
• Monitor high-acuity patients and recognize changes in condition
• Manage IV drips, chest tubes, central lines, and advanced telemetry
• Respond quickly and appropriately to changes in patient status
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Deliver patient-centered care focused on quality outcomes
