Job summary

Aspirus is expanding its Cardiac Tower and Progressive Care Unit in Wausau, WI, inviting RNs to join a high-acuity cardiac team. This full-time role offers diverse shifts and hands-on opportunities with cardiothoracic and post-surgical patients in a state-of-the-art environment.

You will develop advanced telemetry skills, collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, and have pathways to leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Wisconsin or compact-state eligibility.
• Interest in cardiac, high-acuity, or critical care nursing.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS preferred; training may be available if needed.
• New graduates and experienced RNs are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to complex cardiothoracic and post-surgical patients.
• Monitor high-acuity patients and recognize changes in condition.
• Manage IV drips, chest tubes, central lines, and advanced telemetry.
• Respond quickly and appropriately to changes in patient status.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Deliver patient-centered care focused on quality outcomes.
