Job summary

Fremont Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse (RN). NEW GRADS ARE WELCOME TO APPLY! The RN provides oversight of patient care during shifts and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate and evaluate care.

The hospital supports supervision of RNs, LVNs, and MHTs as needed. We offer a psychiatric inpatient setting with AM, PM, and NOC shifts. Fremont Hospital is accessible via public transit and is part of a larger UHS network offering

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited RN program; ADN required, Bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum three months experience in acute psychiatric health care is preferred.
• Active RN license in California in good standing.
• CPR with AED current and on file.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient care activities during assigned shift and supervise RNs, LVNs, and MHTs.
• Coordinate, prescribe, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the care team.
• Participate in the nursing process and standards of care and practices.

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred

We are currently hiring for part-time Registered Nurses (RN).

The RN is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care activities through collaborative efforts with the interdisciplinary care team in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. The RN is responsible for complete oversight of all patient care activities during their assigned shift and will have supervisory responsibility for other RNs, LVNs, and MHTs.

Available Shifts

• AM Shift (7am-3:30pm)
• PM shift (3pm-11:30pm)
• NOC shift (11pm-7:30am)

Fremont Hospital is a fully accredited, 148-bed private inpatient psychiatric hospital providing quality care for children through adults. The facility provides a full assortment of care which includes assessments, inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, partial-hospitalization, intensive outpatient psychiatric treatment as well as chemical dependency outpatient care. Fremont Hospital is part of a larger hospital system, Universal Health Services.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate from an accredited RN program and Associate Degree in Nursing Required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience

• Minimum three (3) months experience in the acute psychiatric health care field is preferred.

Licensure & Certification

• Currently maintains an active RN license in good standing issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing
• CPR with AED certification must be current and presented to Human Resources upon hire.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to work every other weekend and holidays, as scheduled.
