Job summary

Fremont Hospital is currently hiring a full-time Licensed Psychiatric Tech (LPT) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join the care team at Fremont Hospital. The LPT/LVN provides nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, collaborating with the interdisciplinary treatment team and applying psychiatric clinical standards to patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under RN direction within the interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to implement and monitor nursing plans for assigned patients.
• Complete the Fremont Hospital CPI training within 90 days of employment and comply with CPI requirements.

We are currently hiring a full time Licensed Psychiatric Tech (LPT)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for Fremont Hospital!

The LPT/LVN performs under the direction of a Registered Nurse providing nursing care through collaborative efforts with the interdisciplinary treatment team and in accordance with the nursing process and standards of care and practice to assigned patients, utilizing basic understanding of psychiatric and personality disorders.

Fremont Hospital is a fully accredited, 145-bed private inpatient psychiatric hospital providing quality care for children through adults. The facility provides a full assortment of care which includes assessments, inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, partial-hospitalization, intensive outpatient psychiatric treatment as well as chemical dependency outpatient care.

Qualifications

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited professional vocational school of nursing. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum one (1) year in psychiatric setting required.

Licensure:

• Licensed to practice from the State Board of Nursing (LPT/LVN License).

Additional Requirement:

• CPR/AED certification must be current and a copy of your certification must be presented to Human Resources upon hire.
• You must successfully complete the Fremont Hospital’s non- violent Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training course within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting with preventative intervention measures.
• You m may be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
