Job summary

The Orchards in California is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse to cover night shifts (Sun-Tue 11PM–7AM; Thu–Sat 11PM–7AM). You will oversee admission and discharge orders and adjust medication and treatment plans as needed.

You will notify families of changes, develop care plans, document physician and resident communications accurately, respond to emergencies, and comply with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• RN license in California.
• 1+ year RN/LVN experience in skilled nursing.
• Knowledge of CMS, Title 22 and OBRA regulations.
• Current CPR certification.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Oversee new admission and discharge orders and changes in medication/treatment orders.
• Notify resident family members/surrogate decision makers of changes in condition.

The RN oversees new admission orders, discharge orders and all necessary changes in medication and treatment orders. You are responsible for notifying resident family members/surrogate decision makers of changes in condition, changes in medication and treatment orders, obtaining informed consents, developing resident care plans, accurate and timely documentation of all physicians, resident, family member/surrogate decision maker communication. You will respond quickly, calmly, and professionally to medical emergencies. You must follow all state and federal regulations.

What you will bring

Our ideal candidate will be reliable and follow safety procedures and duties assigned by a supervisor.

• Holds a clear RN license by the California Board of Registered Nurses.
• Must have 1+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse or LVN in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
• Knowledge of or willing to learn CMS, Title 22, and OBRA Regulations.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Preferred at least one year of supervisory experience and providing direct nursing care to elderly and chronically ill patients. Preferably in a skilled nursing facility.
• Legally Authorized to work in the United States
