Job summary

Inova Health System is seeking an experienced PACU Nurse for their Alexandria hospital. This part-time position requires 2x12 hour shifts covering hours from 9:00 am to 11:30 pm, including an on-call component on nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• One year of critical care or PACU RN experience required.
• RN license to practice in Virginia is mandatory.
• BLS certification must be obtained at hire; ACLS and PALS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre and post-operative care in the PACU.
• Monitor patient recovery and respond to emergencies.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safety.

Inova Alexandria hospital is looking for an experienced Perianesthesia (PACU) Nurse. Inova’s Perianesthesia RNs work pre and post op; Phase 1 and 2. This is a Part Time (2x12 hour shifts) to cover hours from 9.00am-11.30pm with some on call night, weekend, and holiday requirements.

PACU RN Qualifications

• One year of critical care (ICU or ED) or PACU RN experience is required.
• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• BLS healthcare provider certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required at hire; ACLS and PALS must be completed in the first 90 days.

PACU RN Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of PreOp and PACU, ICU or ED experience
