Job summary

Ardent Health Services is seeking a day shift, full-time PACU Day Surgery Registered Nurse (RN) in Tyler, TX. The role emphasizes patient-centered perioperative care in a fast-paced setting with a focus on safety and smooth recovery.

The candidate should hold an ADN, Texas RN license, and relevant certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS). Preference for PACU/acute care experience and trauma certification within 1 year of hire.

Qualifications

• ADN required and Texas RN license active.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required or obtained within required timelines.
• TNCC/ATLS/TCAR certifications within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide and direct patient care using the nursing process for a targeted patient group.
• Care for patients in the PACU Day Surgery setting with a focus on safety and recovery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless perioperative care.

• UT Health Tyler is the flagship hospital of the system serving hundreds of thousands annually. Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who uses the nursing process to provide anddirect patient care for a group of patients for a designated time frame.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Associate Degree of Nursing (ADN)
• Must maintain current Texas RN License
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certified
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certified (within 90 days of hire)
• Trauma Certification Course (TNCC, ATLS, TCAR within 1 year of hire)
• Thorough knowledge of airway management and rescue methods
• Pediatric/Adult Phase 1 and Phase 2
• Maintain knowledge of ASPAN standards

Preferred Job Requirements:

• PACU, ICU, ER, or other acceptable acute care experience
