Job summary

Hartford Hospital, part of Hartford HealthCare, invites you to join a brand-new Bliss Building PACU team. We will develop a 10-bay unit providing 24/7 post-operative care for diverse surgical and interventional procedures.

The PACU RN will recover patients from general and regional anesthesia, including IV and conscious sedation with acute/ICU level care. Teamwork, autonomy, communication and critical thinking are essential as we collaborate across disciplines to establish interdepartmental

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut RN License is required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
• PACU and/or ICU experience preferred.
• Training program available for step-down and ED experienced RNs.

Job Summary

Exciting opportunity to become a member of the new Bliss Building PACU team! Come join us in developing and growing a brand new 10 bay PACU unit that will provide 24/7 post-operative care to patient populations of a variety of surgical and interventional procedures and services. The PACU RN recovers patients from general and regional anesthesia along with IV, conscious sedation requiring acute and ICU level of care. This position requires teamwork, autonomy, communication, and critical thinking skills, as well as collaboration, innovation, flexibility and amenability as we work with all disciplines to establish and facilitate interdepartmental work flows and relationships.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut RN License
• Graduate of accredited nursing school with BSN preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• PACU and/or ICU experience preferred
• Training program available and required for step-down and Emergency Department experienced RN
