Hartford Hospital in Connecticut invites applications for a PACU RN to join the Bliss Building PACU team. The RN will recover patients from general and regional anesthesia, including IV and sedation cases, and provide continuous post-operative care in a 24/7 setting.

Qualifications

  • Active Connecticut RN license required.
  • BSN preferred or higher.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • PACU/ICU experience preferred.
  • Training program for step-down/ED RN provided.

Job Summary

Exciting opportunity to become a member of the new Bliss Building PACU team! The PACU RN recovers patients from general and regional anesthesia along with IV, conscious sedation requiring acute and ICU level of care. The position will provide 24/7 post‑operative care to patient populations of a variety of surgical and interventional procedures and services. This role requires teamwork, autonomy, communication, and critical thinking skills, as well as collaboration, innovation, flexibility and amenability as we work with all disciplines to establish and facilitate interdepartmental workflows and relationships.

Qualifications
  • Current Connecticut RN License
  • Graduate of accredited nursing school with BSN preferred
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification required
  • PACU and/or ICU experience preferred
  • Training program available and required for step‑down and Emergency Department‑experienced RN
