Job summary

Resolute Health Hospital in Texas is seeking a registered nurse to provide professional care across the newborn to geriatric population under minimal supervision, aligned with established standards and Baptist Health System policies.

The position requires a nursing degree, Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS within stated timelines, and preferred peri-anesthesia/critical care internship. Sign-on bonus may apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• BLS required with active healthcare provider certification on hire; AHA/BLS within 60 days.
• ACLS and PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role.
• Texas State RN License or eligibility for state board certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care across age range (neonate to geriatric) under supervision.
• Adhere to established standards, policies and procedures of Baptist Health System.
• Complete required competencies within introductory period; perform related duties as assigned.

Under minimal supervision, provides professional nursing care for patients ranging in age from newborn to geriatric, within the nurse's competencies following established standards and practices. Supports the mission statement, policies and procedures of the Baptist Health System. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited school of nursing

PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: None

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Completion of peri-anesthesia or critical care internship/training course

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse or currently eligible for state board certification.

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:

• Surgery - CNOR Board eligible/certified
• Post Anesthesia-CPAN Board eligible/certified
• GI Lab -SGNA Board eligible/certified

REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR):

• BLS - Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role for all Surgical Services areas.
• AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role for Post Anesthesia Care Unit for licensed staff that care for Pedi.

This includes the following facilities: North Central Baptist, St. Luke's Baptist, Westover Hills Baptist and Resolute Baptist Hospital.
