Job summary

Northeast Baptist Hospital, part of Baptist Health System, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care across age groups under minimal supervision. You will support patient safety, collaborate with teams, and uphold standards and policies while pursuing ongoing professional development.

Eligible applicants must hold a Texas RN license (or eligibility) and active BLS; ACLS and specialty certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Texas RN license or eligibility is required.
• BLS active on hire; ACLS and PALS within defined timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for patients from newborn to geriatric under supervision.
• Adhere to established standards, policies, and procedures of Baptist Health System.
• Complete required competencies within designated introductory period.

Under minimal supervision, provides professional nursing care for patients ranging in age from newborn to geriatric, within the nurse’s competencies following established standards and practices. Supports the mission statement, policies and procedures of the Baptist Health System. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Completion of peri-anesthesia or critical care internship/training course

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE

Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse or currently eligible for state board certification.

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE

Surgery - CNOR Board eligible/certified

Post Anesthesia-CPAN Board eligible/certified

GI Lab –SGNA Board eligible/certified

REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR)

BLS - Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.

AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role for all Surgical Services areas.

AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role for Post Anesthesia Care Unit.
