Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) for our fast-paced outpatient surgery center in Memphis, TN.

The PACU nurse will oversee vital signs, administer medications, educate families, and support post-operative recovery in a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with occasional late days. Requirements include RN license, BLS and ACLS, PALS preferred, and a minimum of one year in PACU or critical care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing
• BLS and ACLS required
• PALS preferred
• Minimum 1 year PACU or critical care experience

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and manage recovery area
• Educate families and patients on home care
• Manage respiratory stability and cardiac monitoring
• Assess patient condition post-surgery and document findings
• Develop individualized care plans
• Record sedation levels and temperatures
• Ensure post-operative space is clean and sanitized
• Perform additional duties as requested

JOB TITLE

Looking for a Full Time PACU nurse for a fast-paced outpatient surgery center.

General Summary Of Duties

• PACU nurses are responsible for overseeing vital signs, changing bandages, and administering necessary medications
• Educating families and patients about homecare instructions
• Manage respiratory instability and cardiac monitoring activities
• Assess patient’s condition after surgery is performed; ensure that all vital signs are within range
• Accurately and completely record all findings in patient’s chart
• The Registered Nurse will develop individualized care plans based on patient’s condition
• Monitors patient’s condition changes and reports changes to healthcare team
• Perform intervention duties in the case of post-operative emergencies
• Record sedation levels and body temperatures
• PACU RN will Ensure the post-operative space is clean and sanitized
• The PACU RN will Perform other duties as requested

Requirements

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing; current RN License.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• PALS preferred.
• Must have a minimum of one year experience in PACU or critical care equivalent area
