Job summary

Shriners Children’s Ohio has an opportunity for a full-time Pediatric Registered Nurse in the PACU / Same Day Surgery Department in Dayton, OH. The role supports a pediatric population with 10-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, with no weekends or holidays, working within an interdisciplinary team to plan and implement post-anesthesia care.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN or is in progress, Ohio RN license, 1 year PACU/ICU experience, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• BSN degree or in process.
• Ohio RN License is required.
• 1 year experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit or ICU.
• BLS certification is required.
• PALS certification or obtained within one year of hire.
• Two years of Acute Care Nursing experience is preferred.
• Pediatric experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily planning via patient rounds.
• Work with interdisciplinary team for the plan of care.
• Provide nursing care to pediatric patients in the recovery room with assessments and interventions.
• Demonstrate leadership through preceptor role and quality improvement efforts.
