Job summary

Tarboro Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a day shift, 7am–3pm. Applicants must hold an unrestricted RN/LPN license and be dedicated to compassionate resident care in a family-friendly setting.

Under direction of the Director of Nursing, you will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, health education and services for residents, including coordinating with CNAs and other staff to ensure safe, accurate medication

Qualifications

• Must hold an unrestricted RN or LPN license.
• Experience in nursing care and health education for residents is preferred.
• Ability to coordinate with a team and follow physician orders.

Responsibilities

• Supervise care and services provided by CNAs and other staff.
• Coordinate nursing care on the unit and ensure appropriate care.
• Provide safe medication-related interventions and document orders.
• Transcribe and implement physician orders accurately.
• Perform nursing assessments and notify physician of changes.

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services, and health education to our residents.

These positions require patience, compassion, and a desire to care for the residents in a gentle and empathetic manner. Some responsibilities of the RN and/or LPN may include:

Responsibilities include:

• Supervise the care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants and other staff.
• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, assuring all assigned staff provide appropriate care to them.
• Provide safe and accurate medication related interventions to residents.
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Perform nursing assessments regarding the health status of residents. Notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and institute appropriate nursing interventions that might be required to stabilize a resident’s condition and/or prevent complications.
