Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Tulsa, OK is seeking a day shift, full-time Surgery (OR) Registered Nurse (RN). You will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document care in accordance with standards to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care on the OR unit.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, Oklahoma RN license, BLS within 14 days, ACLS and PALS, with a six-month window for ACLS/PALS. Preferred CNOR and OR experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license in Oklahoma.
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS.
• PALS.
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire or upon signing a revised job description.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document care per BMC and AORN standards to deliver efficient, effective patient care.
• Provide age-appropriate nursing care; assess data reflecting patient status and needs across life span.
• Plan and modify the care plan to ensure quality patient care per policy.
• Supervise surgical technologists in the OR and delegate tasks as appropriate.

• Individuals within this job classification are accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluation, and documenting care activities in accordance with BMC and AORN standards in order to deliver efficient, effective, and quality patient care.
• The Registered Nurse (RN) must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
• This individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his/her age‑specific needs.
• The RN is to plan for the provision of patient care including the development modification and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with BMC standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care as described in the Patient Care policies and procedures.
• He/She is expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
• This individual must also be willing to take call on a rotational basis and demonstrate teamwork and flexibility.
• RNs in the Operating Room setting supervise surgical technologists.
• The Registered Nurse may make decisions to delegate appropriate nursing tasks to other staff members based upon individual patient need and staff qualifications.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license in Oklahoma.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support is required within six months of hire or upon signing a revised job description.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• One year experience as a Registered Nurse in an operating room environment.
• CNOR.
