Position Details:

Location: Morton Plant North Bay Hospital, 6600 Madison St., New Port Richey, FL 34652

Status: Fulltime

Shift: 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM

On Call: Yes

Summary:

The Operating Room RN responsibilities include:

1. RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
2. RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
3. RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
4. RN also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

This position requires a minimum of 2 years RN experience. For this position, we strongly prefer at least 1 year Operating Room experience as an RN.

3. ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department

2. Preferred Bachelor's Nursing

Experience:

1. Required includes 1 year acute care experience or 1 year Interventional/Procedural experience or 6 months RN acute care or Interventional/Procedural experience with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment
2. Preferred Experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship
