Baptist Health System is partnered with Tenet Healthcare in Texas. We are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care across patient ages from newborn to geriatric.

You will work under minimal supervision, supporting our mission, policies, and procedures while completing required competencies. Minimum education is a nursing degree with TX state RN license or eligibility; preferred is a Bachelor's degree and peri-anesthesia/critical care exposure.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree.
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: None.
• PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Completion of peri-anesthesia or critical care internship/training course.
• REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Texas State License for RN or eligible for state board certification.
• REQUIRED COURSES: BLS active healthcare provider; ACLS within 60 days; PALS within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for patients from newborn to geriatric within competency.
• Support Baptist Health System mission, policies and procedures.
• Complete established competencies during introductory period.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Under minimal supervision, provides professional nursing care for patients ranging in age from newborn to geriatric, within the nurse's competencies following established standards and practices. Supports the mission statement, policies and procedures of the Baptist Health System. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited school of nursing

PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: None

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Completion of peri-anesthesia or critical care internship/training course

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse or currently eligible for state board certification.

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:

• Surgery - CNOR Board eligible/certified
• Post Anesthesia-CPAN Board eligible/certified
• GI Lab -SGNA Board eligible/certified

REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR):

• BLS - Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role for all Surgical Services areas.
• AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role for Post Anesthesia Care
• Unit for licensed staff that care for Pedi. This includes the following facilities: North Central Baptist, St. Lukes Baptist, Westover Hills Baptist and Resolute Baptist Hospital.
