Temecula Valley Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Registered Nurse - CVOR to provide high-level pre- and post-operative care in a busy OR setting. The CVOR nurse will assess patients, participate in discharge planning, and assist surgeons in cardio-thoracic procedures.

Responsibilities include preparing the OR, maintaining sterility, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Requires CA RN license and OR experience; CNOR preferred.

Qualifikationen

• 1 year OR experience in acute care or surgery center.
• Circulating for cardio-thoracic/coronary bypass surgery preferred.
• Completion of an accredited RN program required.
• Current California RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS preferred.
• CNOR preferred for the role.

Essential Job Duties

The Registered Nurse-CVOR performs initial assessment appropriate to the patient’s clinical presentation/diagnosis, care setting, age, development level, and cultural and religious orientation. Identifies and prioritizes the need for further assessment based on the patient’s clinical presentation/diagnosis, care setting, desire for care and responses to any previous care.

Initiates discharge planning for each patient upon admission as appropriate. Performs interventions identified for each nursing diagnosis on the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care. Demonstrates the ability to assist the physician with procedures in the operating room, including cardio-thoracic surgery and coronary artery bypass surgery. Able to set-up for cases and maintain sterility in the operating room per AORN guidelines.

Qualifications

One (1) year operating room experience in an acute care facility and/or surgery center

Minimum two (2) years’ experience circulating for cardio‑thoracic/coronary artery bypass surgery

Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program

Registered Nurse with current California RN license

Current BLS, ACLS certification from American Heart Association

Current PALS (AHA) preferred

CNOR preferred
