Job summary

Interim HealthCare Home Health in Redding, CA seeks an on-call Registered Nurse (RN) to provide in-home care Friday 5pm to Monday 8am. This full-time role requires Home Health or Hospice experience and offers an annual salary of about $83,000 plus mileage reimbursement.

You will assess patients, administer medications, manage wounds, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current CA RN license.
• Two years of nursing experience preferred.
• Home health or hospice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home direct patient care per plan of care.
• Assess and document patient conditions and report changes.
• Administer medications, insulin, and IV/fluids; document thoroughly.
• Inspect and care for wounds, dressings, personal hygiene.
• Assess for injuries, infections, bedsores and deliver treatments.
• Collaborate with providers and the care team to ensure outcomes.
• Participate in interdisciplinary assessment and QAPI.
• Supervise paraprofessional and licensed staff.

Salary: $39.90/Hour | Full-time

Schedule: Friday 5p - Monday 8a

Location: Redding, CA & Surrounding Areas

Must have Home Health or Hospice Experience

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in home health and hospice you will be called to care when you are needed most. As part of Interim Healthcare Home Health, you will support a full range of patient services to bring comfort and dignity to our clients. This is a full-time position working as an on-call nurse between the hours of Friday 5:00pm to Monday 8:00 am.

As a Registered Nurse (RN)

Provide in-home direct patient care according to the provider’s prescribed plan of care (and nursing scope of practice) while closely monitoring progress/recovery

• Assess and document patient conditions and report change as needed (vitals, blood/stool/urine, glucose, etc.)
• Administer medication, insulin, and IV/fluids, documenting thoroughly
• Inspect and care for wounds, changing dressings and assisting with personal hygiene
• Assess patient for further injuries, infections, bedsores, etc. and deliver appropriate treatments
• Collaborate with providers, aides, and allied health professionals to ensure exceptional patient outcomes
• Participate in ongoing interdisciplinary assessment of the patient
• Participates in Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program
• Supervises paraprofessional and licensed professional team members

To qualify for a Registered Nurse (RN)

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and has a current license as a Registered Nurse in CA
• Two (2) years of current nursing experience preferred
• Must have Home Health or Hospice experience
• Community Health and a wide range of Medical Surgical experience preferred, not required
• Ability to pass a Criminal Background Check, Physical, TB & Drug Screen
• Must have a current Driver's License and reliable transportation
