Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) on-call for in-home health and hospice patients in Redding, CA and surrounding areas. The role is full-time with on-call shifts Friday 5p to Monday 8a, offering an annual salary of about $83k plus mileage reimbursement.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, medication administration, wound care, and collaboration with the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Requires CA RN license and home health/hospice experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and has a current license as a Registered Nurse in CA.
• Two (2) years of current nursing experience preferred.
• Must have Home Health or Hospice experience.
• Community Health and a wide range of Medical Surgical experience preferred, not required.
• Ability to pass a Criminal Background Check, Physical, TB & Drug Screen.
• Must have a current Driver's License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home direct patient care according to the provider’s prescribed plan of care while closely monitoring progress.
• Assess and document patient conditions and report changes as needed.
• Administer medication, insulin, and IV/fluids, documenting thoroughly.
• Inspect and care for wounds, changing dressings and assisting with personal hygiene.
• Assess patient for further injuries, infections, bedsores, etc. and deliver appropriate treatments.
• Collaborate with providers, aides, and allied health professionals to ensure patient outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing interdisciplinary assessment of the patient.
• Supervises paraprofessional and licensed professional team members.
