Job summary

OSF HealthCare seeks an Occupational Health RN to perform nursing duties focused on employee health and preventive care. You will assist physicians during pre-employment physical examinations, counsel employees, and prepare health records for various employee health matters.

On-site work at employers and schools may be required, with some requests after clinic hours. Illinois RN licensure and initial RN experience are required; BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed in the State of Illinois as a Registered Nurse.
• 6 months of clinical RN experience required to support employees with minor injuries and illnesses.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing duties to maintain and promote employee health.
• Assist physicians during pre-employment physicals and screenings.
• Counsel employees on health matters and maintain records/reports for employee health matters.
• Provide care appropriate to the ages of clients served; may require after-hours on-site work at employers/schools.

Pay range for this position is $31.67 - $47.47/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Occupational Health RN performs a variety of nursing duties to maintain and promote the health of OSF employees and the employees of outside client companies. Assists physician during pre-employment physical examinations, counsels employees exposed to diseases and prepares records and reports on various employee health matters. Assists with medical exams and screenings for all Occupational Health clients. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care that is appropriate to the ages of the clients served.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

License/Certifications: Current license in the State of Illinois as a Registered Nurse.

6 months clinical RN experience in order to be able to independently assist employees with minor injuries and illnesses, respond to a variety of health and related occupational questions, and learn departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

BLS in preferred for MSS
