Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Nursing Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) for Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, NJ. The role requires a valid NJ RN license, BLS, and ACLS within 6 months of hire, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred and Telemetry/Medical-Surgical experience a plus.

The RN will provide bedside care on night shifts, document in EPIC, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), a typical day may include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, using your judgment to intervene early and advocate for your patients

To be considered for this RN opportunity

you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement and a current American Heart Association BLS certification and ACLS certification required within 6 months from the date of hire. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. Telemetry/Medical-Surgical hospital 1–2 years of experience is required; intermediate care and ventilator experience preferred. This position offers a full-time night schedule from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Three 12hr shifts, weekends and rotating holidays. Schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs, allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining balance.
