Job summary

Care Initiatives is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care in a skilled nursing setting across Iowa. Part-time shifts from 6pm to 6am offer flexible scheduling for experienced RNs who value resident-centered care.

You will administer medications, monitor conditions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maintain high-quality, compliant care. Emphasis on safety, documentation, and effective communication with residents and families is essential.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing (IA preferred).
• Current CPR certification required.
• Strong knowledge of federal/state long-term care regulations.
• Demonstrated empathy, respect, patience in resident care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing setting.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit to ensure quality care and safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to status changes.
• Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers and other team members to ensure high-quality care.
• Communicate care needs effectively with residents and families.
• Document care accurately to meet clinical and regulatory standards.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in good standing. License must be valid within the state of Iowa, or ability to activate.
• Current, valid CPR Certification.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
• A strong commitment to helping others and consistently treating them with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.
