Job summary

Care Initiatives is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our compassionate care team across Iowa's skilled nursing communities. This full-time role covers evening and overnight shifts (6pm to 6am) with competitive hourly pay and shift differentials to reward overnight work and commitment to residents.

You will provide direct nursing care, administer medications, monitor residents, document accurately, and collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, and providers to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in good standing in Iowa.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations.
• Commitment to empathetic, respectful, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing setting.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit to ensure safety and quality care.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely.
• Monitor residents and respond to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNA, LPN, provider, and other team members to ensure teamwork.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families about care needs.
• Document care to meet clinical and regulatory standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in good standing. License must be valid within the state of Iowa, or ability to activate.
