Job summary

Asbury Towers Retirement Community is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse to join our assisted living/long-term care team. You will provide direct nursing care, manage medication administration, and support resident health and comfort in a caring environment.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted LPN or RN license in the state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Long-term care or geriatric nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications per physician orders (oral, topical, injectable).
• Monitor residents and report changes to supervising RN.
• Perform wound, catheter, ostomy care, and treatments.
• Document vital signs and intake/output in the EHR.
• Follow care plans and coordinate with CNAs on shifts.
• Communicate with residents, families, and the nursing team.
• Ensure infection control and facility safety standards.

What You'll Do

• Administer oral, topical, and injectable medications per physician orders
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and report to the supervising RN
• Perform wound care, catheter care, ostomy care, and treatments
• Obtain and document vital signs, weights, and intake and output
• Implement care plans as directed by the RN and care team
• Supervise and delegate tasks to CNAs on your shift
• Communicate with residents, families, and the nursing team
• Document care accurately and timely in the electronic health record
• Follow infection control, safety, and facility compliance standards

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted LPN/RN license in the state of practice
• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
• Current BLS/CPR certificationLong-term care or geriatric nursing experience preferred
• Strong medication administration and observation skills
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
