Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Neonatal ICU RN (PRN) for their Level III NICU in Norman, OK. The role is night shift, offering shift-based compensation with a PRN II/III tier schedule and differential pay.

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, nursing diagnoses, care coordination, and discharge planning. Eligible candidates hold a nursing diploma/ADN with BSN/MSN preferred and Oklahoma RN licensure, plus BLS; NRP within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Oklahoma RN license active and BLS certification required.
• NRP required within 6 months of hire.
• New grads enter Nurse Residency Program.

Compensation

• $27.83- $45.46/hr based on previous work experience - $2.50 PRN I differential - One shift per 4 week schedule.
• $35 flat rate PRN II - One shift every two weeks.
• $42 flat rate PRN III - Two shifts/week.
• Evening differential $2.50/hr.
• Night differential $3.00/hr.
• Weekend differential $3.00/hr.

Norman Regional Health System Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a 25 bed Level III unit with a Neonatal Ground Transport Team. We focus on family-centered care. We have 5 Neonatologist on staff. Job Summary

RN essential functions include, but are not limited to:

• Assessment/reassessment - Systematically assesses / reassesses the health care needs of individuals; appropriate for specific age groups and patient conditions. Involves patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate
• Nursing Diagnosis and Outcomes - Analyzes assessment to determine nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes, involving patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate.
• Implementation and Coordination of Care - Provides nursing care through interventions to achieve goals and needs using professional judgement guided by current evidence-based practice, regulations and policy
• Evaluation - Evaluates patient outcomes by utilizing the critical thinking process and evidence based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts and reach sound conclusions.
• Evaluates discharge needs related to plan of care utilizing resources as needed.

Qualifications

Education

• Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.

Experience

• Previous experience in healthcare field preferred.

(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).

Licensure/Certification

• Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
• For the entire Maternal Child tower, Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) is required within 6 months of hire and to be maintained throughout employment.
• New grads are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program.
