Qualifications

  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse required with BLS and Neonatal Resuscitation certifications.
  • Experience in NICU preferred for optimal patient care.

+ Schedule: Nights, PRN Tier 3 (10 shifts in 6-week schedule)

+ Hospital: Ascension Saint Thomas

+ Location: Midtown

**Responsibilities**

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

+ Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.

+ Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

+ Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

+ Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

**Requirements**

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

+ BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

+ Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program obtained within 6 months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

+ Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained within 6 months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

+ Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition ('Compact State') obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

+ Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

+ Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.

**Additional Preferences**

RN NICU experience required.
