Job summary

West Boca Medical Center in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe, evidence-based care in the NICU. The RN will administer specialized nursing care, supervise assigned staff, and document orders and results in the EHR in alignment with Florida practice standards.

Requirements include an Associate degree in Nursing, Florida RN license, and CPR/BLS; a Bachelor’s degree and NICU experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) from an approved program.
• Florida RN License is required.
• CPR/BLS/AHA/PALS/NRP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care using the nursing process.
• Supervise and direct assigned nursing staff delivering patient care.
• Review orders and test results; document care in the EHR accurately.
• Adhere to Florida State Nurse Practice Act and professional standards.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse provides safe and effective nursing care to all patients utilizing the nursing process. Administers and performs specialized nursing care according to assigned unit and treatment for patient. Specialized nursing care utilizes evidence-based practice in accordance with professional standards. Responsible for the direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering said patient care. Adheres to the Florida State Nurse Practice Act. The RN reviews orders/test results and documents care delivered accurately and timely in the electronic health record.

Job Qualifications

• Education: Associates degree from a Nursing program
• License: Florida RN License
• Certifications: American Heart Association, PALS, NRP, & BLS card
• Preferred Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Experience: Minimum 1 year licensed nursing practice on a NICU unit
