Job summary

West Boca Medical Center in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for day shift. You will deliver high-quality care, coordinate patient plans and document care in the EHR, upholding safety and evidence-based practice.

Requirements include FL RN license, BLS/ACLS, and ECCO within 180 days of start. 2 years CC experience or equivalent is needed; BSN preferred. Excellent benefits accompany a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in Florida.
• 2 years' experience in Critical Care or transition from non-ICU with ECCO course.
• ACLS and BLS certification (AHA).
• ECCO course within 180 days for ACLS applicability.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, safe nursing care following the nursing process.
• Coordinate and integrate patient care across services and families.
• Document orders, test results and care in the electronic health record accurately.
• Adhere to ANA Code of Ethics and Florida Nurse Practice Act.

In following the mission, vision and values of Tenet, the RN provides high quality, safe, cost effective, total nursing care to all patients utilizing the nursing process. The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on need of the patient and family members. The RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, Infection control, with the goal being to discharge the patient with an optimum level of care provided and utilizes evidence-based practice in accordance with professional standards. The RN adheres to the ANA Code of Ethics and to the Florida State Nurse Practice Act. The RN reviews orders/test results and documents care delivered accurately and timely in the electronic health record.

EDUCATION

• Minimum: Graduate of an RN program
• Preferred: BSN

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

• 2 years' experience in Critical Care OR nurses with no Critical Care experience
• Must have 2 years of acute care experience and successfully complete the ECCO Critical Care course
• New graduate nurses must successfully complete the ECCO Critical Care course

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:

• Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification
• ECCO participants must have ACLS within 180 days of start date
