Job summary

West Boca Medical Center in Florida is seeking a Mother Baby RN for the night shift to provide high-quality care to postpartum mothers and neonates. The RN will coordinate patient care, review orders, and document in the EHR, ensuring safety and family-centered care.

The role includes attending delivery and stabilizing well newborns, with a focus on evidence-based practice and adherence to state nursing standards. Florida RN license required.

Qualifications

• Must hold Florida RN license.
• Minimum one year experience in Med/Surg or nursery.
• Night shift availability.

Job Shift: Nights

Job Type: Full Time

Up to $10,000 SOB for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months.

The Mother Baby RN provides high quality, safe, cost effective, total nursing care to post partum patients and neonates by utilizing the nursing process. The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on need of the patient and family members. The RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, Infection control, with the goal being to discharge the patient with an optimum level of care provided. The RN utilizes evidence-based practice in accordance with professional standards and adheres to the Florida State Nurse Practice Act. The RN reviews orders/test results and documents care delivered accurately and timely in electronic health record. The Mother Baby RN will provide care in a family centered environment where mothers and newborns remain together for the duration of their hospital stay. This position is also responsible for delivery room attendance, and stabilization of the well newborn.

Job Qualifications

Education

• Minimum: Graduate of an RN program
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Experience

• Minimum: One (1) year experience in a Med/Surg area or in nursery/mother baby unit preferred

Required Certification/License/Registration

• Florida RN License
• American Heart Association BLS
• American Heart ACLS
• NRP at hire or within 90 days of start date for inexperienced RN

West Boca Medical Center (WBMC) is part of the Palm Beach Health Network and has been serving southern Palm Beach and northern Broward counties for over 37 years. WBMC offers general medical and surgical care, orthopedics, a robotic surgery program, a state-of-the art breast imaging center, womens and childrens services and the only level III NICU in southern Palm Beach County. Its two emergency centers, one at the main hospital and the other in Coconut Creek, are open 24-hours a day.
