Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist seeks a Registered Nurse for the Neuro ICU in Winston-Salem, NC. The role supports a state-of-the-art 24-bed neuroscience ICU, caring for patients after complex neurosurgical procedures and serious neurological conditions.

You will work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment across multidisciplinary teams. Ideal candidates will have an accredited nursing program, active RN license in the state, BLS, and ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS are required within 6 months of hire.

State of the art Comprehensive Stroke Center Certified. Recognized as the top 10% in the country for Neurology & Neurosurgery and Stroke care by U.S. News & World Report. Within this unit, highly skilled clinical professionals from various disciplines provide continuous, comprehensive care to patients following intricate neurosurgical procedures or facing life-threatening neurological disorders. We employ a patient-centered approach, offering extensive neurological services that support seamless continuity of care.

Patient-centered care in the Neuro ICU is achieved through effective teamwork, compassion, innovation, education, and research. Our nursing staff are proficient in operating diverse ICU equipment, such as tubes, lines, drains, invasive hemodynamic monitoring devices, and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT). Specialized interventions include management of EVD and SEPS drains, post-thrombolytic care, and post-interventional radiology care.
