Job summary

Doctors Medical Center of Modesto, part of Tenet Healthcare, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for Neuro ICU on the night shift. The RN will plan, direct, and coordinate high-quality patient care using the nursing process and work with a multidisciplinary Neuro ICU team to optimize patient outcomes.

Requirements include 1+ year ICU experience, California RN license with BLS/ACLS/PALS, TCAR within 12 months, NIHSS education within 6 months, and CN/RRN preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year ICU experience.
• Current California RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS; TCAR within 12 months.
• NIHSS education module within 6 months of hire or transfer.
• CNRN or CCRN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, coordinate, and provide high quality, individualized patient care using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with Neuro ICU team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Report to the Patient Care Services Director/Shift Manager and maintain documentation.

Reporting to the Patient Care Services Director/Shift Manager, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and providing high quality, individualized patient care using the components of the nursing process.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience/Skills:

Must have 1+ years ICU experience.
License/Certificates/Credentials:

Current: California RN license, BLS, ACLS certification (within 6 months of hire for new grads only), PALS certification (within 6 months), TCAR required within 12 months of hire/transfer . For current employees/transfers who have TNCC, TCAR must be obtained by October 1, 2019. Must obtain National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) education module within 6 months of hire or transfer into unit and must maintain thereafter. CNRN or CCRN preferred.
