Job summary

Miami Valley Hospital North in Dayton, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time, mixed acuity role on a 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. schedule, 72 hours per pay. The RN will partner with patients, families, and the inter-professional team to provide holistic care in a safe environment.

Required: Ohio RN license; BSN preferred; no prior job-related work experience; strong multitasking, organization, and communication skills to manage a diverse caseload within the department.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Valid Ohio RN license.
• No prior job-related work experience.
• Must be able to multitask with interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor.
• Basic computer knowledge and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse (RN) who partners with and advocates for patients, families, and significant others to provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support that impacts patient outcomes in a safe environment. The RN functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence and autonomy in the practice of nursing. Using the nursing process and evidence‑based principles, the RN cares for a diverse caseload of patients within the department scope of service. The RN serves as guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader, and sentry, collaborating with and guiding care delivered by the inter‑professional team. The RN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, the Nursing Code of Ethics, and applicable regulatory standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Valid Ohio RN license

Experience: No prior job‑related work experience.
