Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for Medical Telemetry. This full-time RN role covers 36 hours weekly with three 12-hour day shifts (7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.) and rotating weekends/holidays. The unit cares for patients with complex cardiac diagnoses and dialysis needs.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited nursing program, Illinois RN license, BLS, and ACLS (or within 3 months). New grads with NCLEX date are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

  • Must have completed an accredited nursing program.
  • RN license issued by Illinois.
  • BLS certification; ACLS certification or plan to obtain within 3 months of hire.
  • New Grad RN with NCLEX test date considered.

Responsibilities

  • Provide coordinated nursing care using the nursing process.
  • Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with standards and policies.

Education

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Registered Nurse license issued by State of Illinois

Where You Will Work:

46 bed unit specializing in Medical Telemetry/Dialysis; provides nursing care to patients with variety of complex medical cardiac diagnosis related to renal, GI, GU, Diabetes, Detox; including peritoneal and hemodialysis.

We’re Looking For:
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by State of Illinois
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association and ACLS (or obtained within 3 months of hire)
  • Will consider New Grad RN with NCLEX Test date
What You’ll Do:

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
