Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Med Surg/Telemetry on a PRN night shift from 19:00 to 07:00. The role requires 5 shifts in a 6-week schedule with at least one weekend shift and one winter and one summer holiday.

Pay range is $38.20-$57.30 per hour. The 12 Center unit is a 34-bed medical telemetry unit caring for adults with pneumonia, COPD, asthma, CHF, and tracheostomies.

Qualifications

  • 1 year minimum med/surg nursing experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
  • RN license issued by the state in which you practice.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.
  • Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum.

REGISTERED NURSE (RN) – Med Surg/ Telemetry Registry; requires 5-12 hours shifts in 6 week schedule Night Shift

Where You Will Work: 12 Center is a 34 – bed medical telemetry unit. Our typical patient population includes adults with pneumonia, COPD, asthma, CHF, and tracheostomies. We have two negative pressure isolation rooms and the capability to dialyze up to four patients when necessary. We also provide medical-surgical nursing care for general medical and medical telemetry patients.

We’re Looking For:

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices Requires 1 year minimum med/surg nursing experience Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
