Job summary

Advocate Health's Atrium Health Mercy in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced RN for a 34-bed Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit. You will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care, using the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care according to standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• 1 year inpatient nursing experience preferred.
• At least 6 months required outside the New Grad residency program.
• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Where You Will Work:

6 South is a 34-bed Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit. Most common diagnoses are COPDPneumoniaDiabetic UlcerPancreatitis, Abdominal PainAltered mental status, ESRD A Nurse on our Unit will gain experience in drains of all kinds, wound vacs, central lines, NGT, DHT, and all surgical things!

Expectations We're Looking For:

• 1 year of inpatient nursing experience preferred.
• At least 6 months required experiencetocome inoutside of the New Grad residency program.
• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practicesBasic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

What You'll Do:

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic carein accordance withestablished standards, policies, and procedures.

• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Atrium Health Mercy is a 196-bed facility of Carolinas Medical Center (CMC). Located 1.3 miles from CMC, Mercy is one of two Carolinas Medical Center locations.
