Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a registered nurse to provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care on a Progressive Care/Step Down unit, using evidence-based practice to ensure safety and high-quality outcomes.

The role requires completion of an accredited nursing program, an active RN license in the state, and BLS certification; you will join a compassionate team at Atrium Health Mercy dedicated to excellence, patient education, and safe, patient-centered care.

Where You Will Work:

4 South is a 20-bed adult Progressive Care / Step Down ICU unit. The patients in the PCU tend to have complex, chronic diseases and require complex nursing skills with diagnoses including sepsis, renal failure, respiratory failure, DKA, and intervention with titratable drips.

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

What You’ll Do:

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
