Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for their Medical-Surgical unit in Hickory, NC. This full-time role offers 3x12 hour day shifts with a commitment-based incentive.

You will work on an 18-bed unit with self-scheduling, weekend rotation, and a collaborative team culture. The ideal candidate holds an NC RN license with a BSN preferred, BLS mandatory, ACLS/PALS within six months, and at least one year of experience.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license required for North Carolina.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Active BLS certification within 30 days; ACLS and PALS within six months.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and accurate documentation in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.

How you'll contribute

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Additional requirements include:

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
