Job summary

Essentia Health in Fargo, ND seeks an RN to deliver comprehensive nursing care on the Med/Surg Ortho unit, handling post-op knee, hip, and shoulder patients and general surgical cases. You will work within a teamwork-focused environment to ensure safe patient outcomes and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment.
• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school.
• BCLS certification within one month.

Responsibilities

• Organize and provide nursing care to patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based on licensure and training.
• Contribute to the facility's mission and Joint Commission requirements.
• Collaborate with the Ortho unit team to support post-operative care.

Our Ortho unit sees:

• Complex total knee, hip, and shoulder post-op patients
• Generalized fracture post-op patients which could include pelvic, hip, etc.
• Medical and Surgical patients include COPD, abdominal pain/GI bleeds, hernia repairs, ENT procedures, and post-op urological patients

Responsible for organizing and providing nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies

Education Qualifications:

BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing
