Job summary

Essentia Health in Fargo is seeking a registered nurse to join a Neuro/Med-Surg unit at a Comprehensive Stroke Center. You will provide direct patient care through assessment, planning, and evaluation, while coordinating with the team to ensure safe, quality outcomes.

Qualified candidates hold a BSN or ADN from an accredited program, current RN licensure in applicable states, and BCLS certification within a month. A RN hiring incentive may apply for ADN or BSN candidates.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing.
• Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for organizing and providing nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions.

Our Neuro unit sees:

• Stroke patients
• Post-op back and neck surgeries
• Patients needing a neurological work-up for dizziness, confusion, and weakness
• Medical and Surgical patients include COPD, abdominal pain/GI bleeds, hernia repairs, ENT procedures, and post-op urological patients

Responsible for organizing and providing nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies
