Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Med Surg General Surgery 3W. This full-time role (36 hours/week) involves night shift duties and a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Missouri RN licensure or compact licensure is required, with BLS certification either on hire or within 30 days. The ideal candidate holds an RN credential and has hospital experience; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with RN licensure in Missouri or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by American Heart Association or within 30 days of hire.
• Previous hospital experience preferred depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain accountability.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.
• Performs duties in alignment with Mercy mission, values and standards.

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Full-time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Days 7:00pm - 7:00am

• $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for New Graduate RNs
• $20,0 $0 Sign-On Bonus for RNs with 1+ Years of Experience

Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience:Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications:

• Required:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education:BSN preferred
• Licensure:Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience:Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
