Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse for Medical-Surgical General Surgery on 3 West. Full-time, 36 hours per week, shift is 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.

This role includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus for new graduates and a $20,000 bonus for RNs with 1+ years of experience. Requires Missouri RN license or compact licensure and BLS certification. BSN preferred; prior hospital experience valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with ADN, Diploma, or BSN.
• Must hold and maintain a current RN license in Missouri or compact licensure.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain accountability.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Full-time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Days 7:00pm - 7:00am

Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience:Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications:

• Required:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education:BSN preferred
• Licensure:Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience:Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
