Job summary

Mercy is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Med Surg General Surgery 3W at our Missouri facility. The role uses the nursing process to deliver high-quality patient care, coordinates with departments, and protects patient rights in alignment with Mercy standards.

The position is full-time, 36 hours per week, with night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am. A sign-on bonus is available for new graduates, with additional consideration for experienced RNs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with ADN, diploma or BSN.
• Missouri RN licensure or compact licensure.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Previous hospital experience preferred; specialty experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and evaluates the effectiveness of care provided by the team.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.
• Provides care consistent with Mercy mission, values, and service standards.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Med surg General Surgery 3W

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Full-time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Days 7:00pm - 7:00am

• $20,0 $0 Sign-On Bonus for RNs with 1+ Years of Experience

Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience:Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications:

• Required:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education:BSN preferred
• Licensure:Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience:Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
