Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg General Surgery 3W unit to apply the nursing process in delivering patient care.

The role coordinates care with multiple departments while protecting patient rights and confidentiality. Hospital experience is preferred; BLS is required, with options for growth and continued education within Mercy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with RN licensure in Missouri or compact licensure.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Hospital experience preferred depending on the unit.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Med surg General Surgery 3W

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Full-time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Days 7:00pm - 7:00am

• $20,0 $0 Sign-On Bonus for RNs with 1+ Years of Experience

Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience:Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications:

• Required:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education:BSN preferred
• Licensure:Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience:Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
