Job summary

Texas Health Resources Rockwall is hiring a Registered Nurse II for Med Surg, full-time nights (7pm–7am; 3 x 12-hour shifts) with self-scheduling and every other weekend. Requires Nursing Diploma or ADN (BSN preferred), TX RN license on hire, and BCLS, CPI and ACLS within required timelines. Training will occur at the Arlington corporate office.

Med Surg experience is preferred; telemetry helpful. The department emphasizes teamwork, strong governance, and access to modern equipment.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or ADN required; BSN preferred.
• 1 year RN experience or completion of an RN residency program required.
• Med Surg experience preferred; Telemetry experience helpful.
• Texas RN license required on hire.
• BCLS, CPI, ACLS certifications within required timelines.

Work location: Texas Health Rockwall - 3150 Horizon Rd, Rockwall, TX 75032

Work hours: Full Time, 36 hours weekly, Nights 7pm-7am, (3) 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend, two major and two minor holidays, no call, self-scheduling.

Training: Must be able to attend training at the corporate office in Arlington 8am-5pm during the first 1-5 days of hire

Here’s What You Need

• Nursing Diploma required or
• Associate’s degree in Nursing required or
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
• 1 year experience as registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
• Med Surg experience preferred; Telemetry experience helpful
• Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire and
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required upon hire and maintained quarterly and
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 90 days of hire and maintained annually and
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire
