Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Registered Nurse III for Labor & Delivery on a PRN nights schedule at Rockwall. Responsibilities include direct nursing care for laboring patients and neonates, fetal monitoring, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Requires active Texas RN license and BCLS/ACLS within designated timelines. Ideal candidates have 1 year L&D experience, nursing diploma or higher, and demonstrated confidentiality and strong interpersonal skills in a fast-paced

Qualifications

  • RN experience required, 1+ year in Labor & Delivery preferred.
  • Texas RN license required upon hire.
  • BCLS certification required prior to independent care, quarterly renewal.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care for laboring patients and neonates.
  • Monitor fetal status and respond to changes in patient condition.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, quality care.
  • Educate patients and families on care plans and procedures.

Registered Nurse/RN III – Labor & Delivery PRN Nights

Work location: Texas Health Rockwall - 3150 Horizon Rd, Rockwall, TX 75032

Work hours: PRN "as needed" - variable 12-hour Night shifts, including weekends and holidays. Must be available to work a minimum of (6) 12-hour shifts per six-week period, (2) weekend shifts per six-week period, (1) major holiday and (2) minor holiday shifts per year.

Training: Must be able to attend training at the corporate office in Arlington 8am-5pm during the first 1-5 days of hire

Here’s What You Need

  • Nursing Diploma required or
  • Associate’s degree in Nursing required or
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
  • 1 year experience as registered nurse required
  • 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience strongly preferred
  • Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire and
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required upon hire and maintained quarterly
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire and
  • NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days of hire and
  • NRPA - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days of hire and
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 90 days of hire and
  • STABLE Program completion recommended
  • AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring required within two years of hire
