Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the General Surgery 3W unit.

This full-time night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM), 36 hours per week, offers a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 for experienced nurses and up to $5,000 for new graduates. The RN will use the nursing process to deliver patient care, coordinate with other departments, protect patient rights and confidentiality, and uphold Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or BSN.
• Must hold and maintain a current RN license in Missouri or compact licensure.
• Previous hospital experience is preferred.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Seeking Experienced &New Graduate Nurses!

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Full-Time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM-7:30 AM

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure: Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience: Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications:

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: BSN preferred
• Licensure: Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience: Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
