Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a Med/Surg Float Pool RN to provide high-quality nursing care across adult inpatient units at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Bayview Medical Center. Float Pool RNs are trained to work in Medicine, Surgical Services, Oncology, and Neurosciences, offering broad clinical experiences.

You will float to Med/Surg units as needed, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and engaging in ongoing professional development within the Johns Hopkins Health System.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required.
• Enrollment in BSN/MSN program within 1 year and completion within 4 years.
• Active Maryland or Compact RN license required.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• RN work experience in acute care required.

Job Detail:

Join the Med/Surg Float Pool with Johns Hopkins Health System and provide high-quality nursing care across a variety of adult inpatient units. Float Pool RNs are specially trained to work in multiple specialty areas, including Medicine, Surgical Services, Oncology, and Neurosciences, allowing them to develop a broad clinical skill set while caring for diverse patient populations. In this role, RNs float to Med/Surg units at either Johns Hopkins Hospital or Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, providing seamless support wherever staffing and patient care needs are greatest. Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams throughout both hospitals, Float Pool nurses enjoy a dynamic practice environment, ongoing professional development, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact wherever patient care needs are greatest.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Nursing required
• Applicants with an Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program may be considered, provided they are enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN program within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 4 years of hire
• Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
• BLS CPR certification required
• RN work experience required; Acute care RN experience required

Salary Range: Minimum 39.64/hour - Maximum 61.45/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
