Job summary

Hillcrest HealthCare System in Pryor, OK is seeking a Day shift, full-time Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to join our caring team. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for Med Surg patients, ensuring high-quality outcomes in a supportive, people-first environment.

Required are ADN or BSN and Oklahoma RN license (or multi-state compact) with BLS at hire. Preferred ACLS and PALS.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN required.
• Oklahoma RN license (or applicable Multi-state) upon hire.
• BLS certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for Med Surg patients.
• Provide patient-centered care suited to age and development of patients on the unit.
• Adhere to Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with health-team members to ensure safe, effective care.

Learn About A Day in the Life of a Med Surg RN:

• Accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting care activities in accordance with BMC standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care.
• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
• Plan for the provision of patient care including the development, modification and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with BMC standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care as described in the Patient Care policies and procedures.
• Expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.

Job Requirements:
